ZAPVOLT provides free browser games. This page explains the data handled by this site and how its features use that data.

Browser storage

We store your personal best for each game, a random player identifier for the leaderboards, and the public display name you enter in localStorage. This information is stored separately in each browser. Clearing the browser’s site data deletes it. Records cannot be recovered or synchronized with another device.

Online leaderboards

When you start a game, we send the random identifier and game type to the server and record the start time. This information is used to validate records and limit repeated submissions. The server stores a hash of the identifier. Your score and public display name are saved and published only when you enter a display name and press the submit button.

The public information consists of rank, display name, and score. The random identifier and game-start information are not published. Personal bests on your device and public leaderboard entries are separate records. Do not include your real name or contact information in your public display name.

Retention and deletion

Game-start information is generally deleted progressively as requests are received after 24 hours have passed. Best-score records are retained for as long as needed to operate the leaderboards. Clearing your browser data does not delete records already submitted to the server. For deletion inquiries, contact rat151330@icloud.com. Include the game name, public display name, score, and approximate submission date and time in your request. We may ask for additional information to identify the record.

Sharing features

When you use the sharing feature, the game name, score, and challenge link are passed to the app you select. Where sharing is not supported, we attempt to copy the information to the clipboard. Nothing is posted to social media automatically.

Hosting and advertising

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider may process connection information, such as IP addresses, when serving the site. We have configured a Google AdSense ownership-verification meta tag and ads.txt. These settings alone do not display ads or store advertising cookies. We do not currently load advertising scripts or analytics tags. If we begin serving ads, we will update this page with information about the provider, the use of cookies and similar technologies, and how to manage settings.

Contact information

The email address and message you send when contacting us are used to review your inquiry, reply, and investigate bugs. We retain them for as long as needed to handle the inquiry.
